Nairobi - Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale says that he will back CORD
leader Raila Odinga for the 2017 General Elections.
The Senator, who was a part of the Amani National Congress
ANC in the 2013 General Elections states that his reason for supporting Raila
is because he has united the Luhya community in the past.
He says that he is the right person to lead the CORD
coalition in the 2017 polls.
“The right man for the lead is Raila,” he said.
“We want to win the elections and it is clear that Raila is
the national leader within CORD,” he added.
Khalwale also says that time for a Luhya leader to run for
the Presidency will come in 2022 when one is able to unite the Luhya community
to support him or her for the Presidential polls.
