Nairobi - I will support President Uhuru Kenyatta come 2017, a CORD
Governor has said.
Machakos’ Governor Alfred Mutua says that his support for
CORD leader Raila Odinga in the 2013 polls was misplaced.
He adds that he will vie for the right to retain his place
via his Maendeleo Chap Chap party which would support the President come 2017.
The reason for supporting the Jubilee Coalition, he say is
to ensure that the development witnessed in Machakos and the rest of Kenya
“The Jubilee government has shown that it is not interested
in politics but development. What you are seeing will improve even more after
2017,” he stated.
He called on the public to vote wisely and choose the right
leaders to lead them forward, avoiding party and tribal politics.
“It is not about the party but the person who matters and
that is all that must matter to Kenyans,” he added.
He swore to ensure that the Kamba community is progressive
and grows out the long time mentality of being underdeveloped.
