Ibrahim replaces Mutunga as Supreme Court boss

Nairobi - Justice Mohammed Ibrahim is the new head of the Supreme Court.
Ibrahim took over on an acting capacity from retiring Chief Justice Willy Mutunga who has officially retired from office Thursday.
The head of the Supreme Court is usually the head of the Judiciary, a position which will be filled up in due course.
And with Deputy CJ Kalpana Rawal also retired, Ibrahim takes over as the next in line senior judge of the Supreme Court.
" I am certain that with Justice Ibrahim in charge, the court will be in good hands until the necessary changes are made," Mutunga stated at his office.
Mutunga retires after a 6 year term as Chief Justice.
