Nairobi - Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has said that he will vie for the Presidency in the 2017 general elections.
Speaking in Kalenjin dialect when he met leaders from Mount Elgon, Moi said that he was heeding to the calls from the KANU supporters who want him to contest the presidency.
The delegation had pressurised him to vie for the Presidency in the 2017 polls.
"I will no longer sit back and watch as our people are being misled to the wrong direction. I will vie for the presidency so that I can show them the way and take them to Canaan", he said.
The younger Moi said that his plans for the 2017 polls were to strengthen the party and reach out to other Kenyans so that they can have a wide political support.
