Nairobi - Musalia Mudavadi says he will join CORD ahead of the 2017 elections.
The Amani National Congress leader has told close friends and allies that he is keen to work with Raila Odinga once again.
He believes that the only way to defeat the Jubilee Coalition is by forming a united front come election time.
"Musalia knows that winning the election as a lone ranger will be tough," his aide told News24.
"He knows that if he joins Raila he will have a great chance of winning the election or forming the next government. He just wants Jubilee out," the source added.
Mudavadi has been calling for a united Luhya front to defeat the Jubilee Coalition in the 2017 elections.
"It makes sense that we combine our efforts to dislodge a corrupt regime that is the Jubilee Coalition," he told News24 earlier when quizzed about a pact with a different candidate ahead of the polls.
