Nairobi - I told Raila Odinga I'm leaving ODM, an MP has said.
Kilifi North MP Gideon Mung'aro in an interview with News24 says that he told Raila he would be leaving and stated his reasons for doing so.
" I told him I would be leaving and I gave him my reasons," he said.
He stated that he would compete for Kilifi Governor come the 2017 elections and that it would not be under ODM.
" I have left ODM. I will not go back to the past," he added.
Mung'aro has been flirting with the ruling Jubilee Coalition for the past one year and says that he has yet to decide where he will go to.
"I am yet to decide. I do know though that I will contest for Governor. The people of Kilifi deserve change," he added.
Mung'aro faces an uncertain future come the 2017 elections as he jumps ship to a coalition that is not very popular in the region.
