I pay Kalonzo's rent, Jubilee MP claims

10 October 2016, 21:05 Wilson Ochieng

Nairobi - A Jubilee Party MP claims that he pays the rent of the Wiper Party of Kenya offices.

In fact, Mwingi North MP Joe Mutambo, added that he owns the party.

“We want the Wiper Party dissolved. In fact, I own the party as I pay for the office rent including the seat that Mr Musyoka sits on. I have receipts,” said Mr Mutambo.

Mutambo recently quit Wiper and CORD for the Jubilee Party.

It is still not yet clear on what capacity he pays the party bills.

He said party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been known as the political kingpin of Ukambani but warned that the community would not be held at ransom by the whims of an individual.

He called on Kalonzo to join the Jubilee Party as a matter of principal.

" We are extending an olive branch to him to come on board in order to be part of the next government," he continued.

Kalonzo has insisted that he is not leaving the CORD Coalition.
