I met her on Facebook at 19, and she gave me gonorrhea!

14 September 2016, 14:54 Frank Manono

I couldn’t believe until I became a victim. I used to watch, hear and read about it but still had doubts it really existed. It became a reality when I dated a lady on Facebook.

There was a need for us to organize a meeting because it was a long distance relationship. Moreover, the relationship had gone much deeper to an extend we could feel each other from a distance. I used to stay in Mombasa while my “darling” was in the city of Nairobi. We planned to meet upcountry during the December holidays since we all came from the same region.

I invited my “dearest, sweetheart, darling, babes, honey” to my official residence. I was forced to hide her since my dad did not like seeing me mingling with young ladies.

Then bedtime came. She showered me with romance that falling in love with her did not wait for protection. Hardly did I knew that choices always have consequences.

Just two days after the project, I started feeling weird; I had a burning when urinating at the same time my testicles had swollen and were very painful. Maybe it’s just sex hangovers... many things were running through my mind.

Two days later, things got elephant! A whitish discharge which later changed to greenish yellow started coming out of my genitalia. The Videos, photos and magazines I used to see/read started now flashing back in my mind. I had already booked a return ticket from Western to Mombasa (around 865KM) and had no time to visit a hospital since the bus had already arrived. While seated in the bus, the discharge started coming from my pants; my boxer became wet soiling my trousers.

The discharge was smelly, making me to be suspicious and uncomfortable in the bus. I was to wait for everyone to alight from the bus at the same time be the first to enter because I didn’t want fellow passengers to smell the irritating stench.

Upon arriving in Mombasa, I proceeded to a private clinic where I explained the whole story to a lady nurse who later administered the treatment. LOL!!!! The lady had been infected with gonorrhea ... That's when I knew how to use a condom when making love at the same time not dating and trusting ladies anyhow.
