Nairobi - A former ODM MP says that he did not speak to party chief Raila Odinga in three years while he was still in the party.
Samuel Arama the Nakuru Town West MP says that he has not had a cordial relationship with the CORD leader over a number of differing opinions.
" I have not spoken to him (Raila) in three years while in ODM. We have nothing to speak about because we see things different," he told News24.
Arama is among 13 leaders that have shifted to the Jubilee Party in recent times and says that he is confident of retaining his seat come the 2017 polls.
" I am in the race for the 2017 elections and will fight hard to retain my seat," he added.
Arama could face a by election if he is found guilty of jumping ship to a different party without following rules but says that nothing will shock him.
" I am yet to receive this letter but when it comes I am ready to take it on," he continued.
