Nairobi - I have not joined the Jubilee Party, yet another Rift Valley MP says.
According to Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter, he is yet to join the party and says he is unlikely to in the end.
" I am not a member of the Jubilee Party and I have no plans to join," he told News24.
Keter was missing from the weekend celebrations to open the party at the Kasarani Stadium.
He has for the longest time been against the breaking up of smaller parties to join the Jubilee wing and says that he feels it is not democratic.
" The new party aims to consolidate political opinion in the country and I do not think that is good," he stated.
Keter says he is yet to decide which party he will join, considering that he was a part of the now defunct United Republican Party URP.
" I will make a decision in due course," he stated.
The move by Keter is likely to be replicated across the political divide, considering the already numerous defections that have taken place.
