Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta says that he has not chosen Water CS Eugene Wamalwa as the next Jubilee candidate for Governor in Nairobi.
Uhuru said Friday that all aspirants who had decided on seeking the Jubilee ticket that they would have to go to the voters to ask for their votes.
He called on all those interested in the Jubilee ticket to ensure that they are conversant with the people so as not to bring complaints once the nomination process is over.
" I have said before. Uhuru only has one vote, Ruto has one, so the two of us have two. There are millions of Kenyans. Go to them for votes," he said at State House Friday.
It has been spoken of loudly that Wamalwa will be granted the Jubilee ticket on a silver platter as a thank you for negotiating for the dissolution of New Ford Kenya into the Jubilee Party.
But Uhuru says that that will not be the case.
" In February, the IEBC will help us choose the right candidates for the elections," he added.
The President will lead the Jubilee Party into the 2017 polls as he seeks a second term in office.
