Nairobi - An opposition MP says she had to join the Jubilee Coalition because the will of her constituents was too strong to turn down.
Helen Sambili, the Mogotio MP says that she had to join the ruling coalition because the will of the people was so, meaning she had no choice but to move.
Sambili has been threatened with expulsion from KANU, the party through which she made it to Parliament through.
But she says she will go where her people want her to.
" I will go where my people want me to. They asked for development and that was in the Jubilee Coalition, so I just had to work with the government," she stated.
Sambili says that she is openly vying to retain her seat come 2017 in a Jubilee Party ticket.
" It is not yet 2017 and campaigns are yet to start but I am open to working with a coalition which presents an agenda of development and at present that is the Jubilee Coalition," she added.
Sambili was the only MP in Baringo County elected on the Kanu ticket in the 2013 elections, with the other seats going to the Jubilee Coalition.
