I did not kill Jacob Juma, says Deputy President William Ruto

Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto has said he is ready to be investigated over the death of controversial businessman Jacob Juma.
The DP who has been sensationally linked to the murder of the businessman maintained that he had nothing to do with it.
Speaking Tuesday night at a live show on a local TV station, Ruto said just like any other Kenyan his wish is to see the killers of Mr Juma nabbed and his family get justice.
"As sure as the sun rises, the killers of Jacob Juma will be brought to book. I had nothing to do with his death, " he said.

"I am a ready to record a statement if asked to by the police. They have not asked me to give my statement but if they do, I will gladly comply," added Ruto.
The Deputy President at the same time accused the opposition of linking him with every scandal and bad thing in the government and asked them to stop being obsessed with him.
"I have become the punching bag for the opposition all the time, the obsession with me must end."
