Nairobi - A KANU leader says he is still a member of the party and that he did not join the CORD Coalition.
Nick Salat who is the KANU Secretary General says that he did not join the CORD Coalition and says he is still the party's chief.
He argues that despite taking part in the CORD IEBC protests, he was still a member of the party and stories that he is now in CORD or ODM are false.
" I am still the KANU SG. You can check with the registrar," he said.
He stated that he would seek change for the country with partners that are like thinking, such as CORD leader Raila Odinga to reign in on the Jubilee Coalition.
" I will seek change under KANU but like in the IEBC process, we partnered with CORD. Alliances are a big part of the country's political landscape and we will seek one later," he added.
Salat was considered a defacto CORD member b y supporters during the IEBC protests in May and June.
That process though, has now ended, with the negotiations over the electoral body now in Parliament.
