Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko Mbuvi has said that he is ready to quit Jubilee and join CORD if Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is nominated as the coalition’s flag bearer.
Speaking in Mavoko during the burial of John King'ola, the father of Mavoko Member of Parliament Patrick Makau, Sonko said that he was ready to support Kalonzo if he clinches the coalition’s ticket.
“I am ready and willing to quit Jubilee and join cord only under one condition; if my brother Kalonzo is nominated as the Presidential candidate”, he said.
The Nairobi Senator was responding to various requests from the area leaders who told him to join CORD and support Kalonzo in order for the region to produce a President.
Sonko is vying for the Nairobi’s gubernatorial seat under Jubilee and he will battle it out with Dagoretti MP Denis Waweru, Former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru and TNA chairman Johnstone Sakaja during the Party’s primaries.
