I am happy in CORD, MP tells Jubilee

Nairobi - I am happy in CORD, an MP has told the Jubilee Coalition.
Wundanyi MP Thomas Mwadeghu says that he is happy to still be in the CORD Coalition and that he will support Raila Odinga's bid for the Presidency come the 2017 elections.
He states categorically that the wave of movements from the CORD coalition into Jubilee will be swept away come the polls as the Coast is a CORD region.
" I am happy in CORD and am going nowhere," he told News24 in Nairobi Thursday.
He stated that despite being the most popular coalition at the Coast, campaigns to further popularise it will continue in the coming months.
" We expect the coalition leadership to come down to the Coast to continue with campaigns. We are confident that the Coastal region is a fully CORD region," he added.
A number of MPs allied to the opposition have in recent times shifted to the ruling Jubilee Coalition, saying that they are seeking development oriented politics, which Mwadeghu dismisses.
" The Jubilee Coalition has done nothing much to uplift the lives of Coastal people and the empty promises they are giving us will not pass," he added.
CORD leader Raila Odinga is expected to visit the Coast in the coming weeks.
