Nairobi - I am happy in the CORD Coalition, an MP has told DP William Ruto.
Kimilili MP Chris Wamalwa says that he has no intention of leaving the opposition coalition at any given time and that he is looking forward to tackling them come the 2017 elections.
Speaking to News24 in Nairobi, Wamalwa stated that he was happy for those who have quit the opposition for the government side and stated that they have every right to do so.
He called on them to stop divisive politics in the western Kenya region and instead work on helping their people now that they are in the government side.
" Chris Wamalwa is a FORD Kenya Mp and that will not change, despite all the stories being written," he said.
He added that the move by DP William Ruto to divide Kenyans in the name of poaching opposition MPs to split votes in the region would not work.
" This is a CORD zone and that is final. As much as there are elements that want to state otherwise, it does and will not change," he added.
He called on Luhyas to support Moses Wetangula's bid for the Presidency come the 2017 polls.
" I urge you all to support the Party leader for the Presidency. It is the only way to remove Jubilee which has been regressive in Kenya," he added.
So far, a number of opposition MPs are said to have quit for the Jubilee Coalition, though how true that is remains to be seen.
