How Raila is planning to use Joho in 2017 – Ngunyi
19 September 2016, 21:33
Nairibi - Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has said ODM party leader Raila Odinga wants to have Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho as his running mate in 2017.
Ngunyi said Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Ford Kenya Moses Wetangula have become a ‘liablity’ to Raila.
“The rise of Joho is curious, and in my view Raila wants Joho to deal with Ruto,” Ngunyi said.
He said Joho is smart politician who would meet the ‘dynamic’ duo of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
“Joho has the political energy and strategies of Ruto. Raila wants to have him bring the exuberance of the dynamic duo,” he added.
The governor has of late become a vocal Raila defender.
On Sunday, he organised a major ODM rally in Nairobi, Mathare.
