Grandpa in court for sodomising his two grandchildren

Nyahururu - A 63-year-old man was Tuesday charged for sodomizing his two grandchildren aged 15 and 10.
Peter Irungu denied the charges before Nyahururu chief magistrate, Judith Wanjala.
The charge sheet stated that the accused allegedly sodomized the secondary and primary school pupils at Ngano village, Ol Jooro Orok sub County of Nyandarua County on November 20.
He faced two alternative counts of committing indecent acts with children.

The prosecution told the court that the two minors had been staying with the accused after they were left under his care by their parents when he committed the offence.
The accused is said to have threatened to kill the boys if they disclosed the ordeal to anyone.
However, the minors later reported the matter to a relative who later reported the matter at Ngano police station where the accused was arrested and charged with the offences.
The boys were rushed to Nyahururu District Hospital where they were treated and discharged.
The case will be mentioned on December 7 when bond terms and the hearing date will be issued.
