Isiolo - Detectives in Isiolo County have arrested two people following Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery’s directive to security intelligence officers to deal with inciters of conflict between Samburu and Dorobo communities.
Isiolo County Commissioner, George Natembeya confirmed that police have arrested two suspects and were interrogating them before charging them in court with incitement.
Natembeya said the two suspects were among three others who were being sought by police following the recent conflict that led to death of three pastoralists along the border between Isiolo and Laikipia.

The two suspects, a senior official from Isiolo County government and a local businessman are among five people accused of inciting the communities against each other.
Nkaissery had ordered the security intelligence teams to produce a list of inciters and ensure they are arrested.
During a security meeting at Ngare-Ndare along the Isiolo-Laikipia border, it emerged that leaders were using their positions to fight other communities.
Natembeya further noted that the government will not tolerate people disrupting peace despite attempts by security agents to restore calm in the area.
