Nairobi - Two brothers of Kirinyaga Governor, Joseph Ndathi have been arrested after fighting each other at a pub in Kimunye market.
They were arrested by Administration Police officers who were called in by other revellers.
They were however freed later on police bonds to seek treatment since they had sustained serious injuries.
Kirinyaga police boss, Mohammed Huka said one had his finger bitten and was bleeding profusely.
He said they would be arraigned in court to take plea on charges of creating disturbance and being drunk and disorderly though police investigations are still ongoing.
He noted that it was not immediately established why the two brothers turned on each other.
Witnesses said the duo entered the pub together and ordered drinks while chatting with other revellers before exchanging fists.
