Governor Mutua opens Maendeleo Chap Chap National Offices, cautions detractors

07 January 2016, 09:31 Philomenah Chebet

Nairobi - Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Movement now has national headquarters in the capital city  of Nairobi.

The Movement leader who is also the Machakos Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua Wednesday officially opened the Movement’s national office, where he emphasized that Maendeleo Chap Chap will bring Kenyans together irrespective of their political affiliations.

“MCC Movement is a socio - political and economic movement that brings together Kenyans from all walks of life and political parties to champion for efficient and speedy delivery of services and projects to Kenyans,” said Dr Mutua.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, the Machakos Governor said the country has lagged behind in terms of development due to what he referred to as bad politics.

“MCC Movement aims to change this by galvanizing Kenyans, and especially the youth whose livelihoods are constantly being played with by bad political games, towards a culture of speedy development and improvement of quality of life today,” he explained.

According to the Governor, the opening of the Nairobi Office will see the opening up of other offices nationwide and facilitate general operations, including fundraising.

Apart from bringing Kenyans together, other aims of the MCC Movement is to ensure integrity and to promote systems where tax-payers' money is not squandered but used for the benefit of our people.

It also seeks to promote unity by shunning tribalism and standing for equality and empowerment of all, especially Women and Youth and  enhance economic activities that provide employment of our youth so that they can live their lives now while still young and strong.

Those afraid of the Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement should not be having sleepless nights. What we are doing is being servants of the people and being within our people so that we can all solve our many challenges.

Mutua cautioned those opposed to movement, noting that   that they are enemies  of the people and  they do not care  that youth are jobless and our mothers suffering.
