Governor maintains he has not left CORD for Jubilee
24 August 2016, 19:54
Nairobi - Tana River Governor Hussein Dado says he is still a member of the CORD Coalition.
Dado insists that despite attending the visit if DP William Ruto recently, it was out of respect for his position.
He says that he is a member if CORD and has no plan to change that.
" I am still a member of CORD and there is nothing tp change that," he told News24.
He however said that he was happy to work with the government as long as it helps improve the lives of the people.
" Nowhere in the constitution does it say that you must only work with
the government while in the Jubilee Coalition. We are in CORD but
welcome development agendas," he added.
There has been a mass exodus of leaders from the CORD to Jubilee
Coalition at the Coast in recent months, with Jubilee members putting
pressure on other leaders in the opposition to follow suit.
