Governor facing ouster for joining ODM
22 August 2016, 07:40
Migori - Three voters have filed a petition to remove Migori Governor, Okoth Obado from office.
George Obuya Owuor, George Ohuru Bonyo and Wilson Chacha have accused the Governor of breaking law after decamping from PDP to ODM.
They want him to seek fresh mandate from the people.
The three have refuted claims they are being funded by Obado's rivals.

"No one is funding us. We are capable of funding the petition," said Obonyo, who is former Mayor at the defunct Rongo county council.
Governor Obado defected to ODM on July 8 when Raila Odinga visited the County during Suna East Junet Mohamed's homecoming.
Obado now has two weeks to reply to the petition through Bosire Gichana and Company Advocates.
