Nairobi - A Governor has accused Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery of forcing him to leave ODM and join the Jubilee Party.
Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye says that Nkaissery has been going around Kajiado telling residents that if he does not leave ODM, they should not vote for him.
He also accused Nkaissery of telling residents that if they do not vote for Jubilee, there will be no development in Maasai land.
" I am still in ODM and was elected by the people of Kajiado to office via ODM. No one will force them to vote for a different party," Nkedianye told News24.
He stated that despite stories linking him with the Jubilee Party, he was not seen in their inauguration launch and says that he is preparing the ground for another win come 2017.
" The days of forceful politics is over. Kenyans will choose and get who they want to be their leader," he added.
Nkedianye faces the challenge of former Interior CS Joseph Ole Lenku who is keen to run for the seat come 2017 on a Jubilee ticket.
