Government's ear-splitting silence on graft very worrying

Nairobi - As a people, we are yet to hear a decisive response from the Jubilee administration as far as the widespread allegation of rampant corruption is concerned.
Day in day out, we are bombarded by heartbreaking revelations about how ministry 'A' used exorbitant amounts to purchase shameful products such as sex toys, how ministry 'B' used millions to purchase software readily available in the open market at 20 times less the quoted value and so on.
The next day, we are bound to hear of cabinet meetings ironically held to discuss how the government can expand its trading markets and improve multilateral relations with its neighbors.

The apparent indifference exhibited by the government forces taxpayers like me to wonder and ask, why are we not hearing of any arrests despite the overwhelming evidence tabled in parliamentary select committees? Why are we not hearing of strong condemnation of such extravagant spending by the presidency?
The runaway impunity with which country and national officials are misusing the taxpayer's sweat and blood must not be condoned under any circumstance.
If the government has failed to curb and tame bad elements, it should expect to face the wrath of a disillusioned electorate come 2017.
