Nairobi - A member of Parliament has claimed that the Jubilee administration is causing a storm within the supreme court so they can find a way of installing Justice Njoki Ndung'u as the Chief Justice.
Kuresoi south MP, Zakayo Cheruiyot said there is a scheme by the government to send home supreme court judges perceived to be pro-opposition and fill the court with pro-government judges.
Speaking Sunday in Kuresoi town, Cheruiyot said the trouble facing judge Philip Tunoi is a government project to tarnish the name of the supreme court.

"There is a plot to have Njoki Ndung'u as the Chief Justice before next year's polls and that is why there is all this confusion in the Judiciary. The President wants to have a friendly person as the Chief Justice so he can manipulate her easily," said Cheruiyot.
"The government is targeting certain supreme court judges and Tunoi is just the first one," he added.
Cheruiyot said that if the supreme court is dissolved, President Kenyatta should also resign because it is the same corrupt court that gave him victory.
"If the supreme court Judge is send home, even the president should follow him because the same corrupt judges gave him victory," he said.
