Residents of Gwa Kung’u village, Ndaragwa constituency in Nyandarua county are reeling in shock following the killing of a seven year old girl whose body was found dumped bedside their gate today.
This is a third child to be murdered in the area after an eight year old girl was hacked to death by unknown men on January, this year while another one had been murdered on December, last year .
Similar to the January incident, the girl was first defiled before her head was chopped off.

According to a relative, the victim was last seen on Thursday evening playing with other three children before she was reportedly picked up by two unidentified men who claimed to be her relatives.
“The three children who were playing with the victim told us that the two men who claimed to be her relatives chased them away and went with the deceased. We thought that she had slept at the neighbors place only to wake up this morning to find her lifeless body dumped at the gate,” said Mr John Mbugua a relative.
Mr Mbugua said that the victim had been raped before being murdered as she was bleeding from her private parts.
When the body was discovered on Thursday , residents led by politician Mrs Faith Gitau protested against the police for failing to arrest the serial killers who they said were on the loose in the area.
“We are demanding that police in the area deal with this issue once and for all.We want the killers who are targeting young girls in this area arrested because we cannot be losing children each and every month,” said Mrs. Gitau.
Nyandarua North OCPD Morris Asillah who confirmed the incident said that police have launch investigations into the matter and appealed to members of the public to give any vital information that could to the arrest of the culprits.
“We have already launched manhunt on the killers. We are appealing to members of the public to co-operate with police and give information that could lead to arrest of these killers,” he said.
