Former Sigor MP dies

Nairobi - Former Sigor Member of Parliament Wilson Mwotuny Litole has passed away.
Litole passed away on Sunday while receiving treatment at the Eldoret Hospital in Uasin Gishu County.
A spokesman from the family said that the former lawmaker had been ill and was receiving specialized treatment at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
“He was ill and succumbed to the illness while undergoing treatment at the hospital,” the spokesman said.
Litole was a distinguished career civil servant who rose from a teacher to an Administration Police (AP) commander, District Commissioner (DC) and later as acting Provincial Commissioner (PC) before being elected as Member of Parliament.
He was elected MP on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket and represented Sigor Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the 2007 general elections to 2013.
