Former media boss joins Kericho Senate race

Nairobi - A former media executive has joined the race to replace Charles Keter as the Kericho Senator.
Paul Melly, the former CEO of Kenya's Standard Group CEO has said that he will contest to replace Keter who has been nominated to the cabinet.
Melly, who moved on from Standard Group after long service at Kenya's second biggest media house says that he is looking to deliver a different brand of leadership.
"I am in the race and I am offering myself to the people of Kericho to represent them in the Senate," he says.
Melly, who has had a long career in the Private sector says that the fact that he has a long record of service delivery means that he will be good for the new undertaking.
" It is time for a fresh talent and to tackle real grassroots challenges facing our people through ensuring that devolution becomes a success. I will bring my extensive experience spanning 25 years in top management in the public and private sectors to the scene," he added.
Keter has been forwarded as a nominee for the position of Energy and Natural Resources Cabinet Secretary.
