Nairobi - The people of the Luhya community will vote for the Jubilee
Coalition in the 2017 election, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka says.
Lusaka, who is a part of the Jubilee Coalition through the
New Ford Kenya Party, says that after years of supporting the opposition, the
Luhya community had decided enough is enough.
He said that with the Jubilee Coalition supporting the
rebuilding of the PanPaper mills as well as the Mumias Sugar Company, they had
the best vision for the region.
“The government has shown that it has the interests of the
community at heart and it has shown so by building new roads and commissioning
of projects as well as undertaking the rehabilitation of key industries,” he
He urged the people of the region to shun the negative
politics propagated by the opposition which has nothing to offer them.
“The opposition has shown that it is ready to fight the
government instead of joining in nation building. The people of western Kenya
have seen their mission and shunned it,” he added.
The New Ford Kenya Party is among the key Jubilee partners
set to dissolve and join the new Jubilee Party that will contest for the
elections in 2017.
