Forget coalition government in 2017, Uhuru tells Raila

Nairobi - The CORD Coalition must accept the 2017 General Election
results, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.
There has been talk of there being a power sharing agreement
if the current IEBC does not deliver an election felt to be satisfactory to the
They have held many protests as a result.
But the President poured cold water on any suggestion that
there would be such an arrangement, saying that the election winners and losers
must accept the results.
“Like a football match where they shake hands afterwards,
elections will be respected and those that have lost will move on,” he stated.
He said that Kenya will not go back to where it was in the
2008 post-election violence.
“Kenya will not go back to the dogs. We will not allow it
to,” he stated.
Changes are being made to the current setup of the IEBC to
ensure free and fair elections come the 2017 elections.
