Forget 2022 elections, Jubilee MP tells DP Ruto

Nairobi - A Jubilee Coalition MP has told DP William Ruto to concentrate on the 2017 elections and forget about the 2022 elections for now.
According to Kapseret MP Oscar Sufi, Ruto is already jumping the gun ahead of the 2017 polls and risks being overtaken by the opposition by taking the upcoming elections as already won.
He urged the DP to focus on returning to government and then plan for 2022.
"The DP is popular in Kenya and we all know that but that does not mean that he now stops concentrating on the 2017 elections," he said.
He urged the Jubilee Coalition to be wary of the 2017 polls.
"The DP has to be careful. The race is not yet won until August next year," he added.
The DP has been carrying forward campaigns to see him build his popularity ahead of the 2022 polls where he is expected to vie for the Presidency.
He has also been accused by leaders from the Jubilee Coalition and opposition of disrespecting them with use of vile language.
Sudi feels the DP should first look to the immediate future.
"2022 is six year from now. Look at what is coming next year first," he continued.
The DP expects to be backed by the Jubilee Party for the 2022 polls after supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta to two terms, as they expect in the coming elections.
