FORD Kenya not your wife, MP tells Khalwale

Nairobi - FORD Kenya is not your wife or personal property, an MP has told Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale.
Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa says that the move by Khalwale to say that FORD Kenya would go alone in nominations ahead of the 2017 elections was his personal stance.
He says that FORD Kenya is fully a part of recommendations to have nominations held under the CORD banner and asked Khalwale to consult first before making statements.
" Some leaders speak on their personal stance. I can make a decision on my wife's behalf as she is my wife. FORD Kenya is not one person's property," he stated.
He said that FORD Kenya is keen on a solution with CORD for the purpose of killing off the Jubilee Party.
" Our only mission is to defeat Jubilee. As long as that is a reality we will seek it," he added.
Khalwale said that FORD Kenya would only agree to fielding one candidate within Nairobi County but nowhere else.
FORD Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula is yet to comment on the matter.
