FORD Kenya MP disowns Wetang'ula, backs Raila
26 July 2016, 18:16
Nairobi - A FORD Kenya MP says that party leader Moses Wetang'ula made a mistake to criticise CORD leader Raila Odinga.
Kimilili MP Chris Wamalwa says that for the sake of unity, leaders in the coalition should not have a go at each other in public forums.
Wetang'ula stated in a TV interview that Raila should quit the race for the Presidency come 2017 as he had used many chances before to crack the Presidency and failed.
Wamalwa believes that the leaders must show a united front despite them all having their own ambitions.
" We must be united and not show that we have different opinions in public. We must be forthright and respect each other," he stated in Nairobi Tuesday.
Wetang'ula is set to embark on a countrywide campaign dubbed 'Ford
Kenya Mashinani' in preparations for the 2017 general election.
He will be at the Coast in August then move to Eastern, North Eastern and Central before
wrapping up in Rift Valley at the end of the month.
He will then move to Nairobi to try stake his claim for the Presidency.
