Fliers backing terror groups found outside church

Nairobi - Some leaflets supporting terror and criminal groups were dropped outside the Salvation Army Church in Likoni, Mombasa county causing fear among residents.
According to Likoni OCPD, Willy Simba, fliers backing Somali militant group Al-Shabaab, pro-secessionist Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) and local criminal gangs were dropped outside the church overnight by unknown people.

Knife-wielding criminals calling themselves Wakali Wao and Wakali Kwanza are on the loose causing havoc in parts of Mombasa, forcing residents to observe unofficial dusk to dawn curfew.
Shocked church goers who found the leaflets that requested locals to join the rank and file of the brutal terror groups and gangs alerted the police.
Worshipers who spoke to the press termed the incident as frightening and asked the security agencies to get to the bottom of the matter.
Simba allayed fears that the place of worship may be a target for extremists but said police are investigating the source of the fliers.
