Five guards beheaded in Malaba

Malaba - Residents of Malaba blocked the Kenya-Uganda border protesting the brutal murder of five guards Sunday night.
The five are said to have been guarding shops in Malaba when a group of unknown assailants attacked them.
On Monday morning, residents blocked the highway demanding justice for the deceased guards.
This is not the first such attack on night guards.
In August, five guards were killed in Mitaboni Machakos while trying to prevent a robbery at one of the shops in the market.
The assailants allegedly used crude weapons including axes and pangas to hack the guards, killing three on the spot.
The fourth victim died at Kathiani Level 4 Hospital while the fifth succumbed on his way to Makueni District Hospital.
At least 120 people were arrested in Matungulu, Kangundo, Kathiani and Machakos sub counties in connection with the murder.
