Female artist hits back at Sauti Sols Nerea

Nairobi - It was only
a matter of time before we saw a track attacking Amos, Josh and Sauti Sol’s
song Nerea, a track which shone a light on the rather touchy topic of abortion.
Female singer Lulu Kibaara has released a new track called “Talia”, which is
meant to touch on the other side of Nerea’s theme, speaking on behalf of all
the mothers out there who have been forced to endure toxic relationships due to
unwanted pregnancies by poor spouses.
In the song
she speaks of Talia, a child who keeps asking about their always absent father
and why he is always drunk when he comes home.
According to the video’s
publishers, it is dedicated to all the dead beat dads across the world. In
short, in this song Nerea keeps the child as instructed, but has to deal with a
dead beat father, always absent and oblivious of the struggles that both mother
and daughter have to go through.
