Nairobi - The family of a missing Kenya Defence Forces KDF soldier is asking for a quick resolution from the forces as regards information on his whereabouts.
Alex Wamae was at the Al Adde camp in Somalia when it was overrun by Al Shabaab forces last week and his whereabouts are still not known.
Thus far, the KDF has yet to tell the family anything regards his whereabouts despite several visits to the KDF headquarters in Nairobi as well as the Forces Memorial Hospital.
The family again made its way to the hospital Friday when news that President Uhuru Kenyatta would be visiting but were once again left disappointed.

" We just want to know where he is," his brother Leonard Wamae told News24 at the hospital.
According to the family, Wamae left for Somalia a week ago and had been communicating regularly until Friday. There has been no communication since the attack.
" We pray that he is safe but we are frustrated by the fact that everyone is silent. It hurts us. We need to know what next, his mother Margaret added.
KDF boss Samson Mwathethe said Thursday that it might take time to account for all the soldiers who were in Al Adde, stating that there were still some missing and that the military does not know where they all are.
It is estimated that between 200 to 250 soldiers were in Al Adde at the time of the attack with as many as 100 feared dead.
