Kampala - A 45-year-old fake traditional healer who slept with 15 married women has been arrested by police at Bugembe trading centre in eastern Uganda district of Jinja.
He was reportedly targeting married women because they have money to pay for his services.
Bugembe police Criminal Investigations Department chief Tony Magoli, identified the man as Andrew Mutenza.
''We arrested Mutenza after husband to one of the women he slept with called us. He had received a tip that the wife had entered the fake healer's shrine. We caught him him pants down with the woman in his shrine,'' said Magoli.
Magoli said that the woman had gone for medicine that would make her husband love her more than her co-wife.
''She told us that Mutenza convinced her that the only way he could give her the medicine was through sex, after placing herbs on his manhood.''
''Immediately we arrested him, 14 other women came to make statements against him. They all said he tricked them into having sex with him in addition to stealing their money but nothing much has changed as far as their relationships with their husbands or other problems that took them there are concerned,'' said Magoli.
''He made me sell my property to pay for medicine to stop my husband from drinking. But until now, he still drinks,'' said one of the victims, Bena Nakanjako.
Magoli said Mutenza will be taken to court and be charged for committing adultery and fraudulently getting money from the women.
