Nairobi - Extra water tanks have been deployed in Nairobi and other cities in the country in preparation for Monday's CORD IEBC protests.
Four new tanks have been handed to the Police in the last week to deal with the menace.
Two have been assigned in Nairobi while two were sent to Kisumu.
The two will be used to deal with the already illegal CORD protests Monday.
CORD is looking to get rid of the IEBC which it says is not partisan while the government insists that any changes will be made through Parliament.
" The protests are illegal and will be dealt with in the most forceful manner possible," Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome told News24.
He urged CORD supporters to stay off the streets Monday.
" We urge supporters to stay off the streets and respect the law," he said.
CORD says it is continuing with the protests until the government agrees to talks over the stalemate.
