Eric Omondi’s take on Bahati serenading the Kenyan First Lady
14 September 2016, 22:05
Nairobi - Everyone knows that the presidential chair
should not be sat on by anyone save for the current office holder, who in Kenya’s
case is Uhuru Kenyatta.
Gospel singer Bahati in an attempt to serenade the
Kenyan first lady, broke this rule when he forced the president out of his seat
and sat on it.
Kenyans are now calling him the ‘Shortest Sitting President in
the history of the republic’.
Joining in on the fun, Eric Omondi decided to
make a video, replicating the scenario much to the joy of his fans.
In the video he pulls the ‘first lady’ and
sits her down on the floor while singing to her, as a shocked security
entourage look on, suggesting he be arrested. The video is short but funny,
highlighting all the best bits of Bahati’s performance. Bahati himself reacted
to this video joyfully writing “ERIC OMONDI mbona Uchokoziiii (why the teasing)???????? #ShortestServingPresident”.
