Nairobi - MPs have failed to show up for Ababu Namwamba's inauguration as Labour Party of Kenya leader.
The MPs expected to show up were Sirisia MP John Waluke and Funyula MP Paul Otuoma.
They however did not show up.
Ababu, in a statement accused the two MPs of being cowards.
" Cowards fail to see the light and focus on the thoughts of others," he stated in part.
Ababu dumped ODM earlier this year to form a Luhya unity party but that has failed to take off.
The firebrand MP has thus been left to seek refuge in the Julia Ojiambo led party to save face.
He says he will defend his Funyula seat using the party.
" I will use this party to launch my bid to defend my seat come the 2017 elections," he stated.
Namwamba left ODM in a huff in June, saying that the party was against the growth of the Luhya community and versus its democratic rights.
