Nyeri - Othaya MP, Mary Wambui has asked EACC to investigate Leader on Majority in National Assembly, Aden Duale and Elgeyo-Marakawet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen over their involvement in NYS scandal.
Wambui said the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) should unearth the scandal that led to loss of KES 791 million in National Youth Service (NYS).
She told the anti-graft agency to adequately probe and collect sufficient evidence to prosecute those found culpable of embezzling the funds.
“Kenyans just want the truth. EACC and other government institutions must discharge their constitutional mandates and tell Kenyans what transpired,” said Wambui.

Speaking in Othaya town on Saturday, Wambui urged Duale and Murkomen to stop dragging Jubilee party into the issue.
“They should take individual responsibility,” Wambui stated.
She maintained that Jubilee coalition was stable and would not be divided by the cases pitting the two leaders who are from Deputy President William Ruto’s side, United Republican Party (URP).
