Duale congratulates MPs for working 'extra hard' in 2015

Nairobi - National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale has thanked MPs for working hard in 2015.
Duale in a press statement sent Wednesday said lawmakers worked selflessly during the year and did tremendous work as far as discharging their mandate is concerned.
According to the Garissa Township MP, more than 130 ordinary House sittings, and 6 Special ones were held during the year including countless Committees sittings.

“During the year, 228 legislative proposals were made and 121 bills debated at the National Assembly,” he said.
“36 bills were passed into law, the highest ever in the history of the country. At the same time, 138 motions were passed, 65 petitions submitted and 23 Statutory Regulations considered," he enumerated.
“I would sincerely like to appreciate MPs for the selfless and tremendous legislative job done in 2015,” he said.
