Drama festival winners thrill Uhuru at State Lodge

Nyeri - Winners of the 57th Kenya National Drama Festival thrilled President Uhuru Kenyatta among other guests at Sagana State Lodge, Nyeri.
The groups were hosted by the Head of State after a 10-day event in Meru County at Kaaga Girls High School, Meru School, Kaaga Boys and Kenya Methodist University.
The event was attended by more than 50,000 participants.
The winners were hosted at State Lodge where they performed various narratives, dance and plays.
The main themes touched on corruption, examination cheating and national values.
The festival was also attended by its national chairman, Kahura Chokera, Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i and Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang.
President Uhuru, in his address, said a special examination for disabled students is being prepared and could even be administered this year.
