Kigumo - Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has asked Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to charge leaders mentioned in the KES.791 Million NYS saga.
Kamau said the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal affected thousands of youths who were employed under the youth empowerment program since some are yet to receive their payments.

He asked the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to expedite investigations.
“Those mentioned in the scam should be charged regardless of their ethnic background or political affiliations. Office of DPP and EACC must prosecute them,” said Kamau.
He further accused the opposition and CORD leader Raila Odinga of being biased in anti-corruption war.
He observed that CORD leaders were condemning Jubilee leaders implicated in corruption scandals and keeping quite when a CORD member is drawn in.
“We never heard their voice when Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero was accused of bribing a judge to rule in his favour in an election petition,” said Kamau.
He stated that corruption scandals including the Chicken Gate, Eurobond and NYS had scratched image of the Jubilee government.
Kamau asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to be zero-tolerant to corruption as he called for sacking of those implicated in unethical cases.
