Nairobi - Two key allies of Deputy President William Ruto will Friday be questioned by Ethics and Anti -Corruption Commission (EACC) officials.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and DP Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet will grilled by EACC sleuths over their involvement in the KES 791 million National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.
Murkomen and Kibet were adversely mentioned in an affidavit by former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru.
The Former cabinet Secretary in her shocking affidavit claimed that the duo tried to intimidate her not to launch investigations into the loss of the public funds at NYS.
Waiguru in a responding affidavit to another one filed by Josephine Kabura alleged that the vocal Senator asked her to stop investigations into the scam, failure to which she would face unspecified consequences.
In her affidavit, she linked Kibet with one of the NYS scandal mastermind Ben Gethi. The two were constantly in touch and Waiguru claimed that Kibet was paid some money by Gethi.
