DP Ruto spent KES 18million to try and finish me politically, says Wetangula

Bungoma - FORD-Kenya leader, Moses Wetangula has sensationally claimed that Deputy President William Ruto spent KES18million in his two-day tour of Western Kenya over the weekend to try and finish his popularity in the region.
Wetangula said the DP is trying to use every means to win votes from the Western region but he will be in for the rude shock.
Speaking in Narok town after meeting delegates, Wetangula said Western Kenya is solidly behind him and told DP to stop wasting time in the region because Kenyans have now realized that Jubilee government took them for a ride.
“You (DP) can use millions of shillings obtained through corrupt means to try and woo voters but Kenyans are now wise and will tell you during the ballot day,” said Wetangula.
He added that it is sad that the DP is using the tax payers’ money to entice Kenyans to support the Jubilee government.
“Instead of starting projects that would uplift the lives of Kenyans, you are moving around the country with large chunk of money. Kenyans have rights to get the services because they are paying taxes and need to see the value of their money,” he said.
The DP’s huge contributions in various fund drives has triggered questions from a section of the opposition leaders who have continued questioning the source of his donation money.
Last year, CORD leader Raila Odinga called for an independent audit of the DP’s spending claiming he was spending stolen money in harambees.
He said the DP earns a salary less than KES 2 million per month but was spending more than KES 50 million monthly on the fundraisers.
