Do aging women lower their expectations when it comes to relationships?

Nairobi - I think even in another millennium people
are still going to find a way to have a problem with a woman as she ages and
has still yet to settle down.
The only parents that support women who are
not in a rush to settle down but take more pride in her career are the ones
that had a disastrous marriage, a spouse that did not fulfill their expectations
or a non-ending string of relationships that ended badly.
So they will tell her, ‘You just
concentrate on your career and building your life at least it will never fail
And isn’t that the truth?
But as you grow older as a woman, does it
make you inclined to lower your expectations in order for you to settle down?
In your twenties and early thirties; you can have the pick of these crops but

Before at 20 you swore you would never
marry a divorced, or widowed man with his baggage-mostly in the form of
children that are not yours that you have to take care of. In your forties, you
re-evaluate that decisions because after a couple of failed relationships you
start realizing those who look clean on the outside; have other inner baggage
that you would rather not deal with.
At some point, looks mattered and even if
he did not have to be gorgeous and sexy; at least he should smell nice and
dress well. Now, you would rather he just came the way he is, you will overturn
the wardrobe yourself.
At some point, you did not want to have to
work at all on some of the aforementioned things but now, in old age, you can
try. The kids, if either of you had any, will no longer be around; so you have
Now, it is not about someone being perfect
but someone who would just suit you.
Bt would you put that claim on maturity or fast
aging and being afraid to be alone.
